Environmental Impact

Alexander's World's dedication to the environment extends also to the provision of facilities that will facilitate a healthy, clean and efficient environment including an incinerator plant, wastewater plant and water desalinization plant.

THE INCINERATOR PLANT

This plant will burn garbage/trash the resort produces that must be disposed of.  The plant will also burn garbage for all of the Bahamas for a fee.  In addition, the incinerator plant will generate electricity.  This will enable the operation of the water desalinization plant that requires large amounts of electricity.

THE WATER DESALINIZATION PLANT

This plant will generate fresh water for the operation of the resort.  However, the Bahamian government has a major shortage of fresh water in Nassau, and will also buy water from this plant.  Because of the water shortage in Nassau, it is our intention to supply the Bahamian Government with 3 million gallons of water per day.  The production of fresh water in the Bahamas involves the depletion of natural fresh water resources and the conversion of these resources into useless saltwater reservoirs.  The water desalinization plant not only provides fresh water to meet the water shortage needs but also enables the preservation of the natural environmental resources of the Bahamas.
